The annual show of work by students at Hailsham Community College will run at the gallery from Thurs 2nd to Sat 4th July. Open 10-4 daily.

Exhibition of Paintings at Gallery North
A new display of brightly coloured paintings based on the theme of Time, Memory and Place. The abstract paintings have been worked over a period of time with layers of colour and surface texture contributing to the history of the work.

A vibrant exhibition of abstract painting, sculpture and mixed media works, exploring the possibilities of colour and materials.

Also showing, a selection of work by our 20 resident artists. Hailsham Art Group starts the season with an art session at 7pm on Tuesday 7th April.

Textiles
Our new exhibition starts on 14th February at 12noon, featuring the textile work of Julia Desch, Wendy Cocks, Louise Bell, Sheila Leech, Elinor Rothero, Angela Anstey-Holroyd.
Also on show will be work by the gallery’s resident artists, craft makers and photographers.

Focus on Four
We were very pleased to host a collaborative exhibition of local vistas by four established photographers, from 3rd May to 17th May. The gallery was open from 10am til 4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays as well as on the evening of 6th May at 7pm, 9th May 6.30pm and there was a talk by Marie Stone on 16th May at 7.30pm.
In addition to the display of works by Marie Stone, Peter Goldsmith, Nicky Thomas and Liz Scott, there was work on show by some of the gallery’s resident artists, craft makers and photographers.
Robert Sparkes
We were delighted to be showing the abstract works of Robert Sparkes from 22nd March until 26th April.We had evening viewings on Friday 21st March, 6-8pm (see photos) and on Tuesday 1st April, 7-9pm. Robert’s paintings are fused with energy, space, colour and texture reflecting the varying processes of time and change.
The exhibition, RUGS & TEXTILES opened on 15th February 2014 featuring work by established textile artists Julia Desch, Wendy Cocks and Alyson Smith.
The exhibition continued 10am til 4m Tuesdays to Saturdays until 15th March.
Also exhibiting were our resident artists and photographers.
Open from 5th November to 21st December 2013, this year’s Winter exhibition featured the diverse work of Isobel Ackary, Pat Latham and Rachel Widdows alongside that of our resident artists.
Stained glass, assemblages and textural works, paper sculpture, photography and pottery sit alongside paintings, prints and drawings on a variety of themes and styles.
Usual opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Special opening hours will apply on Saturday 14th December for our Christmas Open Day. 9.30 til 5.3o.
