INTO THE WILD ARTIST SUBMISSIONS OPEN

Gallery North would like to invite entries from artists working in any medium for our forthcoming exhibition ‘INTO THE WILD’ – a thematic exhibition inspired by the beauty of the animal kingdom and our natural world. Artists are invited to submit up to three works for consideration that respond to this theme (three works maximum).

The exhibition will run from  31st May – 26th July 2025 and hanging/installing will take place during the week before. Artists must organise the safe delivery (and collection if necessary) of their artworks.

To apply, please fill in the form and here and upload examples of up to three artworks with dimensions, prices and a short artists CV (no more than 500 words or 1 side of A4) by 5th May 2025. A single submission fee of £15 is required to enter and this also includes automatic entry for artists in the 2025 Eastbourne Artists Open House Art Trail and programme which will run during June, giving the gallery and exhibiting artists further exposure.

If you are selected for this exhibition, we will be in touch within one week after the submission date closes.  At this point, please ensure that you arrange payment of £15 to the following account:

GALLERY NORTH / SORT CODE: 30-90-90 / ACCOUNT: 33742868 .

Please include your name as reference so that we can track the payment. If payment is not made within one week after we have notified you of your acceptance, Gallery North will not be able to continue with your application.

Please note that Gallery North’s commission is 20% on all sold works.

Thank you so much for taking the time to enter – we really look forward to viewing your work!

WELLBEING THROUGH ART WORKSHOPS 2025 – YOUR HELP NEEDED!

In 2024, we began our Wellbeing through Arts funded programme of workshops with the aim of offering subsidised or free art workshops to individuals on low incomes or with refugee status. Attendees enjoyed various art classes delivered by our resident artists (thank you to those of you who ran a workshop) that included life painting, acrylics, collage, lino-printing and wet felting.

We hope to expand and develop these workshops further in order to include more members of our community to help them find creative joy, confidence and peace of mind. To that end, we would appreciate your feedback and would be grateful if you could fill in our WELLBEING THROUGH ARTS SURVEY at the link here.

Even if you didn’t attend or run a workshop last year, your feedback about how you think we could improve or develop these workshops, along with any other thoughts you may have about Gallery North are valued and appreciated to help us plan for the future.

Thank you so much for your help with this in advance.  Please do share the survey link with any other individuals who you think may also provide helpful, constructive feedback.
